SRS Industrial has examined and redeveloped their Safety Management Systems and Practices on a global level. This has proven to enhance our safety program along with the culture in all areas of our operations. This is reflected by the continuous improvement of our safety statistics within the organization at all levels.
This adds a clear single point direction to the program in all operations and consists of extensive Safety Management System training to all supervisors to ensure the framework of this system is implemented at a global level.
SRS is a member in excellent standing in multiple prequalification networks such as ISNetworld, Canqual, Complyworks and PICS.
Thorough trending is in place for all safety related action including both proactive and reactive interventions. Leading indicators such as inspections and safety meetings, among others, are tracked to ensure the program is working within its framework and that any issues or concerns are addressed proactively. Lagging indicators such as incident reports are tracked and root causes are established to ensure the proper corrective actions are in place to prevent re-occurrence. By trending these leading and lagging indicators we are able to focus our resources on the specific areas of concern and better increase the overall effectiveness of the Safety Management System.
The current Safe Work Practices are reviewed on a regular basis at both a corporate and field level to ensure functionality and effectiveness. Individual project specific Risk Assessments are completed to identify potential failure modes and mitigating actions are put in place to reduce any potential or actual risk.
We have achieved significant results with our improved Safety Management System and the appointment of the current safety leadership group. We believe that maintaining a proactive and behavioral based program will continue to enhance our culture and performance.
